Biography

Víctor Javier Solano is the Univision 41 Weekend News presenter and Univision 41 and News reporter and member of the IACO Board of Directors since 2005

 For more than 20 years he has practiced journalism on television. Initially, his career was spent in his native Colombia, after advancing Journalism studies in Bogota.

He was a reporter for the News of Seven, Noon and TV Today. In 1995, he arrived in Washington, DC, as a correspondent for the Q.A.P. Two years later, it is linked to the Spanish-American chain CBS Telenoticias; initially as a correspondent in Washington and then news anchor in Miami. For seven years I work for Telemundo in Chicago and New York, as a presenter and reporter. Now, at Univision as a weekend presenter and reporter, Víctor Javier, he puts his experience at the service of the Hispanic community in the tri-state area.

His reports were recognized on 4 occasions with the Simón Bolívar National Journalism Award, the most important award that journalists receive in Colombia. In 2008, Victor Javier was recognized with the A.C.E. (Association of Critics in Entertainment) for his excellent work as a communicator.
