Elisa Muguruza is currently the Director of Mi Casa es Puebla Passaic, the office of representation of the state of Puebla on the east coast, located in Passaic, New Jersey. In her current role, she represents the governor of the fourth largest Mexican state. Her office serves the community of the state of Puebla with programs, documents, and social services.
Previously, Elisa worked in the Ministry of Public Education of the state of Puebla. She was in charge of international cooperation, promotion of the internationalization of education in the state of Puebla links with Institutions of Higher Education in the USA, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, the development projects to increase mobility and academic exchange. Also, she was part of the Binational Migrant Education Program. In her role, she participated in international events such as Learning Cities UNESCO, and Smart Cities.
In 2014 she obtained a Diploma in Migration. She has a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Benemerita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Mexico.
