He has also received nine Emmy\u00ae awards from the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television, Arts, and Sciences, and has been recognized by several organizations such as the New York Chapter of ACE, the United States Congress, the New Jersey Legislature, and the New York City Council.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Medina obtained a degree in Philosophy from San Buenaventura University and a Master of Economics from La Universidad Santo Javeriana (Saint Javeriana University).&nbsp; Medina was presented with a Doctorate \u201cHonoris Causa&#8221; by La Universidad Santo Tom\u00e1s (Saint Tomas University) for his contributions to journalism and social service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A father of two children, Medina supports community organizations that advocate for children in the United States and Colombia.
