“We are all one Nation: The Legacy of Immigrants in the U.S.A” <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Mark Hugo L\u00f3pez is director of race and ethnicity research at Pew Research Center. He leads planning of the Center\u2019s research agenda on international demographic trends, international migration, U.S. immigration trends and the U.S. Latino community. He is an expert on immigration globally and in the U.S., world demography, U.S. Hispanics and Asian Americans. L\u00f3pez was previously the Center\u2019s Director of Hispanic Research, and prior to that served as the Associate Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n L\u00f3pez is the co-editor of \u201cAdjusting to a World in Motion: Trends in Global Migration and Migration Policy.\u201d He is a co-author of \u201cThe Future of the First Amendment\u201d and has contributed chapters to several books about voting and young Latinos. Prior to joining Pew Research Center, L\u00f3pez served as a research assistant professor at the University of Maryland\u2019s School of Public Policy and as research director of the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE). L\u00f3pez received his doctorate in economics from Princeton University. He is an author of reports about the\u00a0Hispanic electorate<\/a>,\u00a0Hispanic identity<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0immigration<\/a>.
