L\u00f3pez is a senior&nbsp;litigation associate at Reed Smith, an&nbsp;international law firm. She is in the&nbsp;firm\u2019s Life Sciences Health Industry&nbsp;Group, practicing product liability litigation&nbsp;and commercial litigation. She&nbsp;defends pharmaceutical and medical&nbsp;device manufacturers in mass tort&nbsp;litigation. Her experience includes&nbsp;working on single plaintiff matters,&nbsp;coordinated cases, and multidistrict&nbsp;litigation in both federal and state&nbsp;courts and handling all aspects&nbsp;of general litigation. She has also&nbsp;counseled clients in breach of&nbsp;contract matters, business torts, other complex&nbsp;business disputes, and in government pharmaceutical&nbsp;pricing investigations.&nbsp;Committed to the firm\u2019s diversity initiatives,&nbsp;Julia is an associate liaison on the firm\u2019s Diversity&nbsp;Committee and previously served as the associate&nbsp;liaison for Unidos, Reed Smith\u2019s Hispanic\/Latino&nbsp;Affinity Group.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Julia received her B.S.B.A. from Georgetown&nbsp;University and her J.D. from Rutgers School of&nbsp;Law-Newark. While attending law school, Julia was&nbsp;Editor-in-Chief of the Rutgers Law Review, President&nbsp;of the Association of Latin American Law Students,&nbsp;and a judicial intern for the Honorable James R.&nbsp;Zazzali, Retired Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of&nbsp;New Jersey. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey&nbsp;and New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has been an active member of the Hispanic&nbsp;Bar Association of New Jersey since 2003 and an&nbsp;active board member since 2008, serving in various&nbsp;leadership positions. Julia is also a member of the&nbsp;New Jersey State Bar Association and&nbsp;the Hispanic National Bar Association&nbsp;(\u201cHNBA\u201d). For the past three years,&nbsp;she served as a Deputy Regional&nbsp;President for HNBA Region III and&nbsp;was recently recognized as a HNBA&nbsp;Top Lawyer Under 40 in 2017. She is&nbsp;also a member of the HNBA\u2019s Health&nbsp;and Life Sciences Committee.
