Presenter of Youth Inspirational Workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Julia A. L\u00f3pez is a senior litigation associate at Reed Smith, an international law firm. She is in the firm\u2019s Life Sciences Health Industry Group, practicing product liability litigation and commercial litigation. She defends pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in mass tort litigation. Her experience includes working on single plaintiff matters, coordinated cases, and multidistrict litigation in both federal and state courts and handling all aspects of general litigation. She has also counseled clients in breach of contract matters, business torts, other complex business disputes, and in government pharmaceutical pricing investigations. Committed to the firm\u2019s diversity initiatives, Julia is an associate liaison on the firm\u2019s Diversity Committee and previously served as the associate liaison for Unidos, Reed Smith\u2019s Hispanic\/Latino Affinity Group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Julia received her B.S.B.A. from Georgetown University and her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Newark. While attending law school, Julia was Editor-in-Chief of the Rutgers Law Review, President of the Association of Latin American Law Students, and a judicial intern for the Honorable James R. Zazzali, Retired Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n She has been an active member of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey since 2003 and an active board member since 2008, serving in various leadership positions. Julia is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association (\u201cHNBA\u201d). For the past three years, she served as a Deputy Regional President for HNBA Region III and was recently recognized as a HNBA Top Lawyer Under 40 in 2017. She is also a member of the HNBA\u2019s Health and Life Sciences Committee.
